E-learning ‘should be an option’ for electrical training courses

An expert in electrician training has argued that e-learning’s benefits mean it should be seriously considered as an option for 17th edition courses and future learning in the industry.

The head of education and training at the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA), Iain Macdonald, believes that online learning offers significant benefits.

The key advantage virtual learning options provide the learner or client with is the opportunity to “choose the solution that best suits their particular needs”, Mr Macdonald said.

“It should be considered as an option, one of a range of potential training interventions,” he added.
